This little known trail parallels Dry Creek, a tributary of the Tuolmne River. The trail is a series of undulating, twisting, technical single track trails that parallel a paved bike / jogging path. The trail extends east to Claus Rd. and west to La Loma Ave. The up and back distance is approximately 9 miles. The City of Modesto maintains the paved bike path, however, the single track trails are unofficially maintained by local enthusiasts :-) Please be courteous to other trail users and "tread lightly". Take The Central Modesto Exit- head east on I Street to Downey Ave which then becomes Scenic Dr. Take Scenic, east to El Vista Ave. go right (south). The first right, after crossing the Dry Creek bridge, is Edgebrook Dr. Head west on Edgebrook Dr. to the first stop sign (just past Scenic View Ct)- go right into the park (I think it's called Thousand Oaks Park). This is the best access/ staging area / parking. The trail extends east to Claus Rd. and west to La Loma Ave. <br />
